Myrtle Beach Real Estate
Although the Grand Strand itself incorporates over 60 miles of beaches and residences, Myrtle Beach is the center of all the attractions, the excitement, and the very essence of what our fantastic beaches are all about.
Some of the finest homes and resorts can be found on the north end of Myrtle Beach proper, along with one of the original golf course communities, Pine Lakes. In the last several years, a major redevelopment plan has been in the works to make the downtown area more of a luxury resort area and less of a neon-sign-clad "mom and pop" beach.

North Myrtle Beach Real Estate
It used to be that North Myrtle Beach was a quiet, uncrowded residential beach that generations of families visited year after year. Though the line has been blurred between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach with the traffic and luxury high-rise condos, those who always preferred North Myrtle still do...and always will. It's a different atmosphere - to some a classier atmosphere - and now has every attraction that Myrtle Beach itself has, plus a few! Myrtle Beach has Broadway at the Beach. North Myrtle has Barefoot Landing. Myrtle Beach has the Grande Dunes, and North Myrtle has Barefoot Resort and North Beach Plantation.

Surfside Beach Real Estate
Just south of Myrtle Beach is a 2 mile long stretch of residential beach and the city of Surfside Beach, SC. Surfside has grown immensely in the last ten years, and has its own set of great restaurants; doctors, dentists, grocery and drug stores, the nearby Inlet Square Mall, and everyone's favorite Surfside Pier.
Surfside's center is the intersection of Highway 544, which offers a large Kroger shopping complex, along with a combination of strip malls and businesses that makes it a hub of activity. The entrance to the huge Ocean Lakes Campground is across the street here, and the Myrtle Beach State Park is just a mile or so back.

Garden City Beach Homes
Garden City Beach is an un-incorporated strip of beach between Surfside and Murrells Inlet, and is often considered to be part of the latter by its residents.
Very much a residential beach, Garden City was virtually renovated after Hurricane Hugo came through in 1989 and wiped out most of the older homes and small hotels. You won't see all the high-rise condo-hotel resorts that Myrtle Beach offers, but there are a few, and many smaller complexes of condos in Garden City Beach. Much of the property is on the ocean side of Hwy 17, and isn't cheap, although there are bargains to be found now in foreclosures and distressed sales.

The oceanside portion of Garden City joins the tip of the tidal creek that becomes the main inlet further south, and the two often tend to blend together. However, when you cross over into the town, the difference is obvious. Read More→

Pawleys Island Real Estate
Pawleys Island lies on the southern-most tip of the Grand Strand, and between Murrells Inlet and Georgetown. If Murrells Inlet is the definitive "low-country", then Pawleys Island is more of the same, but without the fishing atmosphere. There are two bridges for entry onto the beach/island portion - one on each end. As much as the mainland part of Pawleys has built-out, the island portion is set apart, and the homeowners strive to keep it that way. The beach homes for sale in Pawleys Island are not inexpensive, but they range from small to elaborate, and in many price ranges. Read More→
Little River Homes and Condos for Sale
Little River is a peaceful little town just a few miles north and over the main bridge of North Myrtle Beach. This is the place to be for someone that must have the beach on a budget. Outside of any city limits, the county taxes are much lower than either main beach. Most of the time the traffic is light. The restaurants and stores close earlier, but there are plenty of them to enjoy during normal hours. Little River has casino boats, too! Several ships leave out twice a day, going 3 miles out in the ocean, and stepping onto one is like walking into a Vegas casino. The waterfront in Little River houses some great little seafood restaurants.
